Miroir Noir
It's impossible for me to be unbiased regarding Arcade Fire. They are the most talented band out there right now. I proposed to Sara at their concert! They, to me, are the best band to break onto the scene since Radiohead. They are the band of the 2000's.
So, when I heard there was going to be a documentary released about them, I just about lost my mind. Miroir Noir follows them as they tour for their last album, Neon Bible. This isn't really a documentary as it is a concert film. Lots of live performances (including ones from the proposal concert). Also you get to see them in the studio and lots of rare footage. The highlight of the film for me is a performance of the song "Neon Bible" in an elevator where Regine plays the ceiling and Richard Reed Parry plays a magazine. I believe this performance is on youtube if you want to look it up and see how awesome it really is.
I feel blessed to have gotten on the Arcade Fire bandwagon at the beginning. If you've never seen them live or haven't checked them out, you should see this film to see what you're missing. If you are a fan and you haven't seen this, then shame on you. Thumbs up through the ceiling!
PS-Their new song, "Lenin", is on the Dark Was the Night compilation. It's fantastic.
